This strategy was used to great effect in the Tet Offensive in 1968, where the Viet Cong launched a series of surprise attacks on American and South Vietnamese cities. 

The Gulf War

      The Gulf War was a series of wars fought in the Persian Gulf region from 1990 to 1991. The most famous strategy used during the war was the “left hook” maneuver of the American army. This was a military strategy in which the American army attacked the Iraqi army from the west, while the British army attacked from the east. This strategy was successful and led to the defeat of the Iraqi army.
